If Isaac Heeney had have kicked straight against Carlton, he would have produced one of the all-time great performances.

The Swans gun claimed his third Goodes-O'Loughlin medal as Sydney steamrolled the Blues to win by 16 points at the SCG on Friday night.

If it wasn't for 29-year-old - and Chad Warner - the home side wouldn't have likely got over the line with Carlton leading for most of the first three quarters.

Heeney had a career-high 38 possessions, including a game-high nine clearances and 10 score involvements.

But from seven scoring shots, Heeney managed to kick two goals, five behinds - with a possible tally of five-plus goals likely to elevate his performances into folklore.

However, the midfield-forward gun goals were crucial, including the sealing six-pointer with a little over three minutes left on the clock.

Heeney's partner-in-crime Warner recorded the second-highest (9) score involvements in the match, kicking two goals from his 30 possessions.

After being Brownlow favourite for much of 2024 and finishing equal fourth despite his ineligibility due to suspension, Heeney's 2025 output has been slightly down on last season.

The versatile attacker is averaging 23.3 disposals a game (down from 25.1) and 1 goal a game (down from 1.4), however his clearance numbers have risen to 6 a game from 5.8.
