Harry Sheezel has written his name into the history books, tying the AFL record for most disposals in a game with 54.
The record was previously held exclusively by Tom Mitchell, who racked up 54 in round one against Collingwood in 2018.
Sheezel’s showing helped guide his struggling Kangaroos to their first win since round 15, as they downed Richmond by 48 points.
The 20-year-old spoke humbly post-game, keeping the focus on his team after their big win.

“Wow, that’s crazy to think,” he told Fox Footy’s Dermott Brereton upon being told of his historic performance.
“Honestly… it just came to me because of the work of my boys.
“It’s just one of those days where it clicks. And fortunately for us it clicked.
“It was a special day, I’m really happy for the boys.”
Sheezel also booted two goals, and was well-supported in his efforts by Luke Davies-Uniacke, who notched up 40 disposals of his own.
Sheezel’s effort sets a club record for most disposals in a game, as he also becomes just the ninth player in V/AFL history to reach the half-century mark, and only the second to do so while kicking multiple goals.
His performance becomes a rare bright spot in another tough year for the Kangaroos, who earned just their fifth win of the season in their demolition of the Tigers - their most in a single year since 2019.
