West Coast star Harley Reid has ruled out three struggling Victorian clubs as destinations if he decides to return to his home state.
The 20-year-old is out of contract at the end of 2026 and is deciding on staying with the Eagles or seeking a trade back to Victoria.
However, not all Victorian clubs will be in with a chance to snare Reid, with the gun making it clear he doesn't want to join St Kilda, Melbourne or Essendon, according to journalist Caroline Wilson.
"The player and his family have made it clear they do not want to go to a struggling club," Wilson told Agenda Setters.

"They’ve got no interest in St Kilda, they’ve got no interest in Melbourne. I’m not sure if they’ve got much interest in Essendon at the moment, but Essendon have no interest in that sort of money.
"They (the Bombers) think that Hawthorn is right in there – and Hawthorn say there have been no meaningful talks – others say that Richmond and Melbourne are having a crack."
Reid is believed to be seeking around $2 million-a-season over 11 years to remain at the Eagles long-term, while Hawthorn and Richmond are believed to be the current favourites in Victoria.
"The Eagles are still weighing this up and going through their own negotiation process – and clubs are continuing to hunt him in Victoria," journalist Callum Twomey said on Footy Classified.
I think Hawthorn are near-on obsessed with Harley Reid in getting him to the club. They want him badly, are willing to go to eight to 10 years at $1.7 million, $1.8 million to get him across the line."
