Tomas Bugg is the AFL’s equivalent of a Kardashian – a handy but not amazing footballer with an outgoing but ordinary personality, yet he’s starting to become omnipresent simply for being Tomas Bugg.

His social media presence isn’t quite up there with Kim, Kourtney and Khloe but he’s managed to grab a headline or two, and now he’s been celebrated in street art, with a larger than life mural of the Demons defender popping up in Melbourne’s famed graffiti ‘gallery’, Hosier Lane.

The picture seemed to appear overnight and, if Bugg’s knack of self-promotion is anything to go by, it could be a self-portrait.

How long it will last before being painted over is unsure as the graffiti in the laneway is reworked on a regular basis, and if Jason Johannisen can get his hands on a tin of Dulux it could be covered up pretty soon.
