Brisbane Lions coach Chris Fagan has stood in support of Michael Voss with the embattled Carlton front man reportedly receiving death threats.
The AFL’s integrity unit is investigating a threat to end Voss’s life in a brutal manner, only a week after vandals spray painted the walls at Princes Park following a Thursday night loss to Port Adelaide.
"It's tough. I see there was some death threats ... that's pretty average,” Fagan said on Wednesday.
"I've got no doubt he'd be doing the best job that he can, but that's just the world AFL coaches live in.
"Faceless people, lack of courage. As coaches, we try to brush those things off, to be honest."

CODE Sports first reported the vile message aimed at Voss, and while it currently isn't being treated as a serious threat, the language used has already drawn the interest of increased security at upcoming Carlton games.
The Blues are set for yet another primetime clash against Brisbane on Thursday night at Marvel, a team that has famously caused Carlton fans plenty of heartache with two straight finals losses in recent years.
Sitting 12th on the ladder at 6-10, another loss would put a pen through the Blues’ faint finals chances with Voss assured of his job security through to the end of the season.
“There are lots of armchair warriors out there that think they can say anything, anywhere, anytime,” Fagan added.
The Lions sit second on the ladder after dismantling fellow rivals Port Adelaide last week at the Gabba by 22 points.
