If you’re trying to find some interest in Brownlow betting and don’t think that Dustin Martin is quite the dominant force almost everyone believes him to be, then you can take some comfort from Champion Data’s predictions.

The statistical gurus are in agreement with Sporting News’ own AFL insider the Rover, concluding that while Dusty may take home the medal it will be Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield that amasses the most votes.
Champion Data has Dangerfield polling one more vote than Martin while the Rover has him finishing two points ahead.
The Cats star is ineligible to win after being suspended in round 19.
It will be interesting to see if the umpires have followed the logical path taken by Champion Data (and the cold-hearted Rover) or if they are more open to the hype generated by the Martin-mad media who love everything Dusty.
