Carlton are considering selecting one of five players with pick three in Wednesday's AFL Draft.

The Blues nabbed the third selection during AFL Trade Period in a surprise trade with West Coast.

With only Richmond and North Melbourne with picks before Carlton, recruiting boss Mick Agresta spoke of the club's plan of attack.

"We've been really transparent - there's probably five [players we are considering]," Agresta said on Gettable.

AFL DRAFT NEWS:

"We've done a number of interviews and got Vossy involved in those... we think it's a real pointy end and we're pretty excited that one of those five will definitely be there at No.3, and that's probably why we were so keen to get into that part of the draft."

While the Blues are likely considering Sam Lalor as one of the five considered players, Richmond or North Melbourne will pounce on that option leaving four remaining players.

Phantom Drafts and speculation suggests the four players Carlton might acquire are Finn O'Sullivan, Jagga Smith, Sid Draper and Harvey Langford.
