Tipped to be a one-sided affair, Melbourne will take on Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday.

The Demons escaped with a victory against Gold Coast last week and will hope to put a stronger performance together against their old foes.

However, the Hawks have challenged Simon Goodwin's club in their past two outings, resulting in a draw and a 10-point loss to Melbourne.

Dees fans will be glad that Jacob van Rooyen successfully appealed his suspension and will feature on the weekend while premiership players Charlie Spargo and Michael Hibberd return.
