AFL Tips Round 19: Betting preview, odds and predictions image

As the AFL season gets toward the business end, we are focusing on line bets to boost the bank balance.

An injury-destroyed Essendon will battle to GWS under their line on Friday night, as will Port Adelaide against Hawthorn.

In a battle of the cellar-dwellars, West Coast appear to be good value at home against Richmond.

Essendon vs. GWS prediction, tip, best bet

There is only four fit players on Essendon's list who won't be a part of this match - such is their injury crisis.

It's worth noting the Bombers struggled to kick a goal against Richmond last week - and that was with Nate Caddy, who is out.

The line appears to still be value based on Essendon's outs, form and GWS' recent results.

Prediction: GWS by 68 points

Best bet: GWS -47.5 ($1.90)

Hawthorn vs. Port Adelaide prediction, tip, best bet

With Jason Horne-Francis and Connor Rozee out, it's hard to see Port Adelaide being competitive against Hawthorn.

This Power side struggled to beat West Coast at Adelaide Oval last week.

Take Hawthorn at the line.

Prediction: Hawthorn by 45

Best bet: Hawthorn -29.5 ($1.90)

West Coast vs. Richmond prediction, tip, best bet

The Eagles have been gallant in recent weeks and gave Port Adelaide a mighty scare last week.

Despite Richmond defeating Essendon, the Tigers still struggled to score and it's hard to see that changing in the West.

West Coast at the line looks like a nice little bargain considering all the above.

Prediction: West Coast by 15 points

Best bet: West Coast -4.5 ($1.89)
