AFL Tips Round 18: Betting preview, odds and predictions image

Even though Carlton don't appear to be value to defeat Brisbane, a key player has good odds for the goals market.

Gold Coast are primed to have a crack at league leaders Collingwood on Friday night, while the Kangaroos can limit any defeat against the Demons.

Carlton vs. Brisbane prediction, tip, best bet

While the Blues might struggle to win the match, Tom De Koning appears to be good value in the goals markets.

Having not played forward much all season, the Carlton big-man is playing in attack, according to Michael Voss.

This makes his long price of $9.75 look incredibly attractive for one of the first three goals.

Prediction: Brisbane by 35 points

Best bet: Tom de Koning first, second or third goal ($9.75)

Gold Coast vs. Collingwood prediction, tip, best bet

With Collingwood having an issue with several sick players and the fact Bobby Hill is still not coming back, the Suns are a big chance in this match.

The Suns are definitely a tougher proposition to play at home and they are primed to challenge the Magpies.

It's probably only a small mis-price in odds, but Gold Coast should be closer to evens that $2.14.

Prediction: Gold Coast by 10 points

Best bet: Gold Coast H2H ($2.14)

Melbourne vs. North Melbourne prediction, tip, best bet

You don't know what you are going to get with both of these teams, but the Kangaroos at their best can win this game.

There are plenty of issues behind the scenes at Melbourne and this could easily be a close contest.

While the Demons might win the game, North can keep it under the line if they play near the best.

Prediction: Melbourne by 12 points

Best bet: North Melbourne +26.5 ($1.90)
