Equal AFL premiership favourite Hawthorn has continued its aggressive list management with the delisting of Category B rookie Josh Bennetts.

Along with Denver Grainger-Barras, Cooper Stephens, Jack O'Sullivan, Ethan Phillips and Clay Tucker, Bennetts joins the list of axed players at the Hawks.

Bennetts joined Hawthorn in 2022 but failed to play a senior game in his three seasons at the club.

AFL TRADE AND DRAFT NEWS:

He played 33 games for Hawthorn's VFL affiliate Box Hill until he was hampered by a serious shoulder injury in 2024.

"Josh was a much-loved teammate who showed great character and dedication during his time at Hawthorn," Hawks list boss Mark McKenzie said in a club statement.

"On behalf of the club, I’d like to thank Josh for his service to Hawthorn and wish him well in his next chapter."

After adding Tom Barrass and Josh Battle, semi-finalist Hawthorn are equal-favourites to win the AFL premiership alongside premiers Brisbane - priced at $8.00 on Sportsbet.
