Melbourne star Clayton Oliver had his car stolen in the week leading up to his 200th AFL game.

It emerged prior to the match against Carlton on Saturday night that Oliver was the victim of a robbery - but no other details were made public aside from the player being 'okay'.

However, after the Demons went down to Carlton by eight points at the MCG, Oliver's coach Simon Goodwin revealed what had been taken from Oliver.

“A couple of days ago he had his car stolen so he had a bit of a laugh about it yesterday, but he’s all good,” Goodwin told Fox Footy.

“I think it’s given him a great chance to reflect, he has many of his family and friends here to support him. It’s just great to see him in such a great place.”

It still hasn't been revealed if Oliver was home at the time or how his car was stolen from his property.

Oliver had 26 possessions and seven clearances but couldn't help Melbourne avoid a narrow loss against the Blues.

It's been a tumultuous period for the three-time All Australian with his AFL career being affected by personal issues that spilled into the public realm.

Oliver reportedly wanted a move to Geelong during last year's trade period, but the Demons chose to keep their player - who is contracted at the club until the end of 2030.

The player has had an improved season compared to 2024, averaging 25 possessions and nearly six clearances a game.

However, his performances are well-short of his peak campaign in 2022, where he gathered nearly 33 possessions and nine clearances a match.

Oliver's future will once again be subject to speculation this off-season, with clubs likely to have discussions with the Demons.
