GWS Giants midfielder Tom Green has labelled his team's performance 'pathetic' after they were thrashed to the tune of 88 points by the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night.
The game was over early in the contest as the Bulldogs piled on six of the first seven goals to lead by 33 points at quarter-time.
However, it only got worse for the Giants, who conceded another six goals in the second term to extend their advantage to 61 at the main break.
The Bulldogs took their foot off their accelerator in the second-half but still extended their lead through both quarters, with Aaron Naughton and Sam Darcy both kicking five goals.

Green didn't pull any punches when asked what went wrong by ABC Sport post-match.
"Pretty pathetic," he said.
"Anytime you get beat by 50 in the contest (contested ball)… we just haven’t rocked up as a side.
"That’s just not good enough by us."
Giants coach Adam Kingsley was at a loss to explain the dip in performance from his side after their stirring Sydney derby win last weekend.
"We got belted in the contest, plain and simple. I think maybe minus 51 [in contested possession] in the end. Wow. Can’t really compete when you’re getting belted like that," Kingsley said.
"We were just off tonight, I don’t know why. Bulldogs clearly playing for their season, and it just felt like we weren’t, and so that's disappointing."
The Giants will have 10 days to lick their wounds before hosting North Melbourne in Canberra next Sunday.
