Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir has raised his doubts over the safety of the SCG turf ahead of the Dockers' game against Sydney this week.
The Swans lost by nine points against the Western Bulldogs on Friday night at the SCG, but the talking point from the match was the poor condition of the playing surface.
Players from both sides were slipping throughout the game as commentators from both broadcasts talked about the poor conditions of the ground.
Longmuir showed his displeasure with the SCG ahead of their game against the Swans this week, talking about it in his post-match press conference after the Dockers' win against the Saints on Sunday night.

Longmuir explained he watched the game on Friday night and thought the conditions were dangerous for players, but said Fremantle would play the game at the SCG this week if the AFL deem it safe to do so.
“The moment my brain goes to ‘that’s unsafe for players,’ I have a concern, and I went there Friday night. I thought at times it was unsafe to play on,” Longmuir said.
We can’t put players out there and risk their safety if the ground is not right, and I thought it was a bit unsafe the other night, especially down that left-hand side.”
Longmuir said the AFL approached the Dockers about the surface, but they will have discussions over the following days.
Freo won a close game against the Saints on Sunday night with Jordan Clark gathering 31 disposals and a goal, while the ruck duo of Sean Darcy and Luke Jackson played great in tandem.
Longmuir praised Darcy and Jackson for their performance in the last quarter, which helped a determined Dockers team get over the line.
“There was a lot of contributors in the last (quarter), but I thought our talls in particular those rucks were dominant,” he said.
“His (Jackson’s) ability to have impact in different areas of the ground gives up great flexibility in that tandem.”
Fremantle are sitting in sixth spot on the ladder and will take on Sydney next week, scheduled to be at the SCG.
