Norm Smith medallist Bobby Hill and fellow Collingwood premiership hero Jordan De Goey are set to return for the Magpies via the VFL this weekend, after extended stints on the sidelines.
Hill has not featured in the black and white stripes since round 15 of the AFL season, after taking time off for personal reasons.
Meanwhile, De Goey last appeared all the way back in round eight in the Pies’ three-point loss to Geelong, initially being sidelined due to an Achilles concern, before a return was delayed due to concussion protocols.
“Great news for our Magpie supporters out there, Jordy (De Goey) will play VFL this weekend,” coach Craig McRae confirmed on Friday.

“Bobby Hill will play down in the VFL as well.
“It’ll be great to have those two players play for our club.”
McRae also confirmed Billy Frampton, another member of Collingwood’s 2023 premiership team, will play in the VFL on Saturday night, returning following a calf complaint.
For the senior side, star recruit Dan Houston and Tim Membrey will make their way right back in to face Richmond on Sunday.
Saturday night’s clash between Frankston and Collingwood at Kinetic Stadium is expected to be one of the most highly attended VFL clashes in recent history, with the Dolphins confirming they have seen a record amount of tickets pre-purchased.
