Carlton star Harry McKay could leave the Blues at the end of the season if the right offer is presented to player and club.

The 27-year-old - who is contracted until the end of 2030 - has only played seven games for nine goals in 2025 and is currently sidelined by a knee injury.

McKay won the Coleman Medal and an All-Australian blazer in 2021, kicking 58 goals at an average of three a game across the season.

But with his form dipping considerably when on the park in 2025, Callum Twomey has suggested Carlton could move on the forward to generate capital for a rebuild.

And while he thinks Charlie Curnow and Sam Walsh will stay at the Blues, there could be a discussion around their futures.

“I think this might be the biggest watch at the end of the season… there are so many decisions to make at Carlton,” Twomey said on Gettable.

“Would they be open to any trade for Charlie Curnow and Sam Walsh? I don’t think they would be at this stage, but I still think they’re two players clubs are going to pursue and are pursuing.

“Harry McKay for me is definitely gettable in my view, from an openness to have that discussion point of view at the Blues. Curnow will be watching with interest as well, if anything comes and is really strongly put to them, what they do on that front.

“Certainly a case of watch this space on Carlton as a whole and what they do in the trade space.”

Since his Coleman-All-Australian season, McKay kicked 45 goals in 2022 and 49 in 2024, with a struggling campaign of 29 in between through 2023.

Melbourne has been linked with a move for McKay in the past, while the likes of Collingwood and Essendon are also in the market for key forwards.
