Emotion following Carlton’s 50-point loss to Port Adelaide has boiled over onto the streets in Melbourne overnight, with angry fans spray painting a handful of messages on the club’s headquarters at Princes Park.
The tags read “Sack the board, sack (Nick) Austin and (Brad) Lloyd. Keep (Michael) Voss.” Alongside another that reads “TDK (Tom de Koning) Yes or No?”.

9News has reported police are investigating the incident as they continue to review multiple CCTV cameras around the area.
Austin, Carlton’s list manager, and Lloyd, the Blues’ football manager, have been scrutinised heavily over the last eight weeks as fans can almost rule out any hope of playing finals now.

Surprisingly, some supporters are still calling for Voss to keep his job, despite the Blues posting only one win over a current top eight side (Geelong) all season.
Thursday’s loss at Adelaide Oval was marred by yet another slow start, Carlton finding themselves on the back foot early as Mitch Georgiades and Kane Farrell spearheaded the Power to an early five goal lead at quarter time.
Out of form skipper Patrick Cripps finished with only 17 touches and a goal after proving his fitness through injury earlier in the week, while star forward Charlie Curnow registered just three behinds.
Voss, who is contracted through to the end of 2026, still put on a brave face post-game, reinforcing the need for unity during these difficult times.
“We’re absolutely disappointed, but the way through this is not to isolate … it’s coming together,” Voss said.
“So, what we’ll do is sit here and we’ll say, ‘What’s my role in this?’ and we’ll get to work hard on that, but we need everyone on board with this, and so that’s the way we’ll approach it.”
Carlton is still a mathematical chance at making the finals, but they’d need to win six of their remaining eight games – a tall task considering top of the ladder Collingwood and Brisbane await over the next fortnight.
Based on the Blues’ basic lack of effort and inability to convert in front of goal again on Thursday night, all attention is now on the board as Voss’ future hangs in the balance.
